The Security Operations Center (SOC) serves as the nerve centre of cybersecurity, continuously monitoring and analysing an organisation's IT infrastructure for signs of potential breaches or intrusions. SOCs work closely with Incident Response (IR) teams, who are the first responders to actual security breaches, tasked with containing the damage, minimising the impact, and restoring normal operations.
